— 2020 we celebrated 10 years of “Stories on Sunday afternoon” in the Literature House! In 2010, the Department of Education initiated a series of events for children from the age of five and families dedicated to reading aloud in cooperation with the Basel Literature House.
 
— The events take place once a month in the Literature House Basel on a Sunday. Sometimes there is also a surprise guest who can contribute something particularly authentic to the topic of the event. A generous snack for everyone is part of the program. As part of this series of events, the Literature House opened its doors to children for the first time. The audience is very mixed. Almost half of our guests have a foreign language background. The languages French, English, High German, Turkish, Indian, Arabic, Serbian-Croatian are regularly represented.
