— The fairy tale that takes place in the Alps and mountains around Braunwald was originally written in the Glarus dialect. It is a beautiful dialect with many apt words that sometimes sound funny to our ears, such as “Tannebiire” for “pinecone” or “ä truurigi Lüschtigi gcha” for “we had a lot of fun” or “chnuusleche» for “personable” or “flamändere” for “grumble” and so on. I chose the High German edition, so that all children understand the story,
