A ray of sunshine tickled Lena on the nose. She sleepily rubbed her eyes and turned on her bed to the other side. She didn't really want to get up, but she had big plans for today. A lot, because she was an adventurous rat.
With her parents and other rats, she lived in a building that was hidden under a few large garbage cans - but not entirely underground. There were many corridors that led in different directions. Lena lived in the smallest apartment with her parents.
One day after getting up, she went to the kitchen. Since her parents were still asleep, she had a short breakfast and then went outside.
She sat on a large gray stone and took a deep breath. Afterwards Lena peeked over the big, thick garbage can rim. What was in there? Lena had often asked herself that.

She looked so long and so concentrated that, without realizing it, she leaned too far over the edge and tumbled into the waste paper bin. Lena peeked out from under a newspaper. When Lena finally freed herself from the newspaper, Lena caught a picture from the newspaper.
