Circus Grandioso
Circus Grandioso

The Grandioso circus is just like every year before Christmas on the way back to San Giovanni Rotondo. The village is the hometown of circus director Giovanni. They are on the road with a big truck and caravans. The weather forecast for the next day is not rosy. Snow and snowstorm are announced. The circus caravan is  a few hours away from the village of San Giovanni Rotondo and then it starts snowing and storming. Huge snowflake fall from the sky and it becomes more and more – so much – until you can see nothing but the car slide. The wind whistles around the caravans and a real blizzard rages through the whole of Italy. Luca and Stella sit in the motorhome and play cards. The director Giovanni, her dad, sits at the steering wheel and Mama Rebecca close to him. Giovanni is nervous about the storm and the snow. He throws the hand over the head and groans: “Santa Maria, ma perchè? Dio mio, quanta Neve! – Heiligi Maria, why is that now? Dear God in heaven, why so much snow?” He turns off the engine, puts on fur cap and gloves and gets off.
